A founding-team seat owning the edge device end to end — leading the design itself, then carrying it from a bench demo to a production line that repeats it.
Register interestThe mandate
- Lead the design of the final structure — form, enclosure, board, thermals and how it assembles. OEMs, EMS partners and contract manufacturers build to your design; they do not decide it.
- Carry the product up three stages: a demo that proves the concept, an engineering prototype that is real hardware, and a production-ready build — knowing what each stage is allowed to leave unfinished.
- Treat certification as a design input, not a final box-tick. BIS, WPC / ETA, EMI-EMC and TEC are planned for at prototype stage.
- Own hardware selection — SoC, camera module, storage, connectivity, thermals, power — and defend each choice on cost, supply and service life.
- Run the vendors who build at real quantities, holding them to tooling, yield and schedule.
- Own the firmware release line: signed binaries, versioning, factory provisioning and validation that is checked back rather than assumed.
Who we're looking for
- 8+ years in embedded or product hardware, including at least one product personally taken from concept to volume production
- Has led the design of a product's final structure, not only specified it to a vendor — and runs OEM, EMS and contract-manufacturer relationships directly
- Has been through Indian certification (BIS, WPC / ETA, TEC MTCTE) or an equivalent regime, and plans for it early
- Firmware release discipline — signing, versioning, factory provisioning, field validation
- Fluent enough in software to argue productively with engineers about what the board has to do
- Bonus: cameras, drones, or any device running 24/7 outdoors in unforgiving conditions
